Catherine Shuman Miller is a contemporary printmaker whose work explores ideas through abstract form and layered composition. Her prints combine emotional intuition with structural clarity, often inspired by shifting overlapping shapes and color transparencies.

 

Miller’s work has been exhibited nationally in venues including the Arvada Center (CO), the Steamboat Art Museum (CO), Meibohm Fine Arts (East Aurora, NY), the Burchfield Penney Art Center (Buffalo, NY) and Jim Kempner Fine Art (NY, NY). Her solo exhibitions include the Hunt Gallery (Buffalo, NY), Western New York Book Arts Center, and the Quick Center for the Arts at St. Bonaventure University.

 

Her prints are held in numerous public and corporate collections such as Case Western University Hospital, The Cleveland Clinic, the United States State Department, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, and the Burchfield Penney Art Center.

 

Miller is represented by Oehme Graphics in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and Meibohm Fine Arts in East Aurora, NY. You can also find her work at Jim Kempner Fine Art in NYC. She is a recipient of a 2025 NYSCA Artist Grant.
